In Roßbach, a three-story employee apartment building was constructed for Holz Reisecker using exclusively timber construction methods. The project combines regional value creation, serial prefabrication, and particularly resource-efficient material use. According to project details, the building comprises six apartments, each measuring 74 m². The construction was carried out using vertical log construction with Lignoloc wooden nails, resulting in a completely single-material construction without glue.
The installation plan monitors the sensitive interior areas of the two ground floor apartments, including the toilet, bathroom, kitchen, and heating manifold. This makes potential moisture ingress visible in those zones where water connections, pipes, and building services transitions are particularly relevant.
The completed building demonstrates what high-quality employee housing in wood can look like today: clear, warm, durable, and regionally rooted. The project even received the Upper Austrian Timber Construction Award in 2025.
